FYI: Video Functionality
Guys, everyone knows I'm looking at implementing some changes at the site. One of those changes is a dedicated "video" forum, with a unique spin.
In researching this, I've discovered something that is relatively minor, but if you don't know about it, it could make posting videos rather frustrating.
When you are posting a YouTube video, you must find the video icon that looks like this:

Once you click on that icon, paste the web address / URL of the video you want to post into the box.
Click "OK", and your video code will appear in your post. Click on "SEND" and your post is finished.
If your video does not appear, or if you just get text, do a quick trouble shoot:

- make sure your video is permitted to be "hotlinked" ; some sites actively block hotlinking, to preserve bandwidth costs
- be sure you have copied the entire link, not just part of it; sometimes a link can extend longer than your address bar
- make sure there are no SPACES or punctuation either before or after your "link"
