The thing about communism!
The thing about communism as we see it in the western world is:
1. It agitates people to the stake
2. It causes those who are most agitated by the ideology to feel that they:
a) Cannot work
b) Are not allowed to work
3. Causes anarchy senses against the authorities.
I once was a communist, and I have prayed to God that he will forgive me for being one. Because in the western society it doesn't cause people to be hard workers as God almighty wants us to be. In the east, parahaps, i cannot tell, they are hard workers but not in the west.
During my teens when i passed red at high speed, smokeing dope and being everything but what God wanted me to be. I was trained by my agitation to have that attitude, that i will never have a work if not communism is applied in the swedish society. Those attitudes lives on even to this day. I been taught by the socialistic swedish society that turned in to libertarian the last election -that i cannot work, and that i am not allowed to work.
I can work and i can work hard as long as the slavery burden is even devision with my workmates.
Moreover I been taught that i should work for free, giving a hand to others just to have a occupation because i have to have an occupation. Working for free, without demanding sallary except for the money i get from insurance bureau (with Obama americans will soon figure out what that is).

Re: The thing about communism!
In my life I have come to the conclusion that there are workers and sponges. Each individual has to make up their own mind as to what they wish to be.

And communism is the idea that it isn't the sponge's fault he is a sponge and that those of us who aren't sponges have a duty to enable sponges to be sponges...

Re: The thing about communism!
lol...seems like sponges do just fine in the states as well...no need for communism. These new tax credits are beginning to piss me off...you know if you make 15 grand with four kids you will be getting 10 grand back somehow for federal let alone another grand for state, fucking amazes me. I dont see how we can continue to spend our tax money this way, of course I know what am I saying they waste it all of the time...but this is just crazy. I feel for people but at some point I just dont have much sympathy...you know I dont make an ass load of money, but Im not pumping out kid after kid. We support sponges in this country more than most people think...we also support the behavior. What really disgust you is when you start hearing what they are going to spend it on...a guy I know is buying a 4000 dollar stereo with his tax money he got for his children...and another old friend bought a boob job. ughhhh...ill stop ranting
but it truly does bother me.

Re: The thing about communism!
Liz we spend roughly 52k per poor family a year on social programs the only real beneficiaries as far as I can see are the bureaucrats.
Oh and she is now making after her tax refund 26 grand a year. And depending on what state she lives in she''ll have to pay taxes on that 10 grand she got back from the feds. 26 grand a year isn't enough to raise four kids.
Frankly it's their money. It isn't my business what they do with it. Tough if asked for my opinion a boob job and a stereo would be way down on my list of priorities. For my money the boob job is just evidence that she needs to start associating with a better class of men;)

Re: The thing about communism!
Well in Oklahoma...we do not count what you get back from federal as income...only the state, and only if you itemize...not to mention anyone with that many children isnt going to have to worry about paying in any taxes making anything under at least 30 grand their credits will cover it. And no they cant raise four kids on that income...which is why they already get assistance as it is. No sympathy for them on my part why did they have so many kids...and why should we have to pay for their ignorant choices. That being said I know some people just have a bad year..and I understand that, but we all have bad years and I dont get money handed over to me for it.
Id like to say it isnt my business...and it isnt...I just cant help but wonder wtf we are thinking giving this big of tax credits to people. In a way I also feel like it should be our business...it is our tax money. We should help these people with housing assistance..food stamps..day care...but obviously they dont make responsible financial decision so why do we just hand over loads of cash. I guess I also live in white trash oklahoma...so I see sooo much abuse of the system it isnt even funny.
Anyway I was just meaning that we support sponges in our country way more than people think, in my opinion we support them all too much. I do completly think we need to change things for single moms...or families in general we need to provide free daycare bc people cannot work when they have to pay crazy cost. And I think we should help families with a lower income...but not over half of their annual income on their tax return.
Oh and as far as my friend patom....i dont have any pics but always good to ask just in case
And as far as it being the men, its just really her self esteem that she needs to work on...like most women I think she stares at the women in hollywood way too long and thinks that they actually look like they do on the cover of the mags.

Re: The thing about communism!
In a lot of cases, far too many they were married and with husband and wife together they were making about 40k between the wifes job and the husbands. With that they could raise four kids. Then they got divorced the wife got the kids and she's been having a hell of a time feeding them and keeping a roof over their heads ever since.
Yeah I know the other side of the coin too. There are indeed far too many idiots out there with four kids by four diffrent men none of which they ever bothered to marry. My question becomes where is the asshole that helped make the babies? Where are the state and federally mandated child support payments. You help make 'em you ought to at least provide financial support to help raise 'em

Just being a dirty old man
. Most of them cover girls are airbrushed to perfection anyway.
I really think that the proliferation of welfare recipients started under Johnsons 'War on Poverty' campaign in the 60's. What should have been done was to have a war on job flight. Too many manufacturers enjoy the benefits of setting up shop in foreign countries where there are little or no labor or evironmental laws. Then they market their products here and get tax write offs for their advertisements. Which leaves the American tax payer to foot the bill.

Re: The thing about communism!
In Maine if you don't pay support for your kids, the state is going after your drivers license. Good idea here but wouldn't amount to a hill of beans in major cities where transportation is not a problem.

Re: The thing about communism!
They fled because we made it all but impossible to make a profit in this country for certain businesses. They fled because the increasing large amounts money it was costing them to have you on the payroll over and above your salary became increasingly untenable. And lets not forget that a lot of jobs - especially those high dollar manufacturing jobs went no where. They just simply disappeared. One example from my on job:
If you can plunk one border line idiot down between 2 CNC lathes and make more parts than 5 top notch machinist running five turret lathes why would you pay top salary for 5 machinists when for about as much money you can hire a programmer a good set up guy and twelve unskilled slobs, and produce ten times the parts at significantly less cost per part?

Re: The thing about communism!
Well they are going to have to start selling their product overseas eventually bc none of us have been left with jobs. I was just watching 60 minutes the other night and in the samoan islands their only real income over there is the tuna industry...one company has already moved out and the other is talking about it...their reason is because of the minimum wage increase. Pretty pathetic excuse if you ask me...these people are simply asking for minimum wage, the average household makes 4 grand annually. Situations like that make me wonder what the ceo of the company lives in...I mean are they truly doing that bad or are they just willing to bleed the american economy for larger profit? This islands people will be at a huge loss without the industry very sad to think it may be happening pretty soon. My boyfriend lost his job 8 years ago bc they moved to Mexico....a year later they were back bc all of their equipment was being torn up, and all of the mistakes being made...my answer you get what you pay for.

Re: The thing about communism!
You can't blame the workers of Levi Straus who for well over 150 years made a fine product. The company was makeing a very good profit making blue jeans in the same town. New board of directors weren't satisfied with 400% profit, went to China for 600% profit. Killed the livelyhood of another N.C. town.
How much profit is enough?? Is there a limit??
Where are they going to go when China gets too expensive to operate in. Or , LOL, will China let them disassemble their plants and move them to Africa? LOL, I wonder how profitable that will be?
What I would really love to see is the American people tell the retailers to drop their prices to third world prices. Tell them to stick $100 sneakers, that cost about a buck and a half to make up their collective asses.

Re: The thing about communism!
Everything goes around Patom. I've never spent a hundred dollars on a pair of tennis shoes in my life and I don't intend to start now. But if we start putting tarrifs on everything we'll all be wearing 100 dollar shoes or going barefoot.

Re: The thing about communism!
Frankly I don't mind spending $100 for a good pair of shoes for my feet. I just mind that companies like Nike, who's labor costs for all their products combined equal about 1/4 of what they pay Tiger Woods in endorsement fees, can then writ off the endorsement money as a tax deductible expense.
There are a couple of places left in Maine that still make shoes and sneakers. New Balance still here but even they are buying pieces made in Asia. Rocky boots are or were being made in the USA. It is getting harder. I will also buy Canadain or EU made foot wear where at least the cost of living is comparable.

Re: The thing about communism!
I do. I hate having to spend money on stuff especially tennis shoes that will be essentially garbage in less than a year. A good pair of workboots or dress shoes are one thing Tennis shoes are something else entirely.
